City Skyline at Night

Tower 42 and The Gherkin by night

It is quite rare in London to get a skyline view like this. This is both because London has a rather gap-toothed skyline (though that is changing fast) and there aren't that many good vantage points. A couple of the best are Greenwich Observatory and Parliament Hill. This view of Tower 42 and The Gherkin with a new high rise emerging apparently between the two was taken from the terrace in front of Alexandra Palace near my home in Muswell Hill.
