Demolition Man

Standing amidst the demolition

I went back to take another look at what seemed to me to be a pretty mind boggling construction task at Baker Street. Here you can see a small part of the facade of the original Abbey Building being held up by some fairly complex engineering (bear in mind that a large part of the roof was also intact). As I was poking around trying to see how it all held together I noticed this guy who was just standing there in the midst of the debris looking for all the world like he had just popped out onto his balcony for a breath of air. He didn't seem to be a security guard or any part of the works so it was nice to imagine him holding on there to his flat, refusing to move, while all around the wrecking ball and march of progress carried on.
