A Perfect Summer's Day in Trafalgar Square

Beautiful weather in Trafalgar Square

Taken on one of those beautiful summer days - the square is normally absolutely full of people and very rarely seems to look like this. This day was so hot that the only people out of the shade were those sitting around the edges of the fountains dangling their legs to cool off. Trafalgar Square has improved immeasurably since Mayor Ken closed off the north side to traffic - so it is no longer effectively inside a roundabout. This change has opened it up as a space for Londoners to enjoy. Declaring war on the pigeon population there has also helped to make it a much more enjoyable space - though perhaps slightly less attractive for tourists.
